*It is vital to note that Sand-Less (and as any other sand removal product) is designed to work along with a feeding regime that provides enough forage to the horse. Fresh water and fresh forage are essential for healthy digestion and removal of sediment from the digestive tract. A horse who is fed minimal forage or on a restricted forage diet will not benefit as much from a sand removal product as a horse who has access to plenty of forage and fresh water.

- Cold-Milled Gold Flax Seeds: The high mucilage (soluble fiber) content of flax swells up to 20 times in volume when exposed to moisture and takes on a jelly-like consistency which traps and suspends sand, carrying it to the top of the cecum and out of the body. Flax is easily digested, non-irritating and contains protein and all of the amino acids required for a strong and healthy equine!
- Chia Seeds: Just like the flax seeds and tapioca pearls, chia becomes highly gelatinous when exposed to moisture. In fact, chia seeds have 2x the mucilage content than flax seeds do. The high mucilage content of chia adds additional bulk to the hindgut which ensures the cecum is full and that sand/dirt is removed. I've read so much on psyllium as an Arizona resident ... Some of the less expensive psyllium products are not pure and become a marketing scam. I hear so many stories that even with regular psyllium treatments, it's just not enough to prevent sand colic. A friend of mine told me they were giving tapioca pearls from 24 Carrots to all of their rescue horses. I am so impressed with the results ... my Arabians love the taste and gobble it down. I mix it with some orchard pellets and add water, as they both are hard working horses in the sport of endurance. I'm really looking forward to starting the Inner Glow Immune Booster after reading all about omega 3.
This and other 24 carrots products I’ve tried seem to work well, including the mare blend. My only complaint is that the website is full of pop up windows and is difficult to shop. I’m not sure if I’ll continue to order.
I have tried other sand clear products and by far this is the one that my horses are willing to eat an not push aside it doesnt get gummy like the other sand clear products do and my horses eat it up first

Sand-less is extremely simple to feed and the horses all enjoy it! As a manager and trainer of a show barn with top horses & ponies I could not be more pleased with the Sand-less product. After our vet’s approval all the horses & ponies have been on this supplement for months and it works just as well if not better then the other products on the market, that are not as pure. It is also refreshing to have a product that can be feed to our ponies with metabolic issues along with my horses that have allergies and not be concerned with ordering several different products to suit everyone’s needs.
